Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Indian / North Indian Cuisine Cook who can prepare authentic dishes, assist in kitchen operations, and contribute to maintaining the high standards of taste and hygiene Salad Days is known for. Freshers with strong culinary interest are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Indian / North Indian dishes (curries, dals, breads, rice, etc.).
Follow standard recipes and ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
Assist senior chefs in mise en place (cutting, chopping, grinding, marination, etc.).
Maintain kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
Monitor ingredient levels and assist in inventory management.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and kitchen processes.
Requirements:
0–1 year of work experience as a cook / commis chef (freshers encouraged to apply).
Basic knowledge of Indian and North Indian cooking methods, spices, and ingredients.
Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.
Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and maintain consistency.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and peak hours.
Preferred Qualifications Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts (not mandatory but a plus).
Prior internship/trainee experience in an Indian restaurant or hotel.
