As a Commis Chef at Flax, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, assembling, cooking, and maintaining hygiene standards across both the central kitchen and outlet kitchens. You will ensure consistency, quality, and timely execution of our healthy menu items including bowls, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
Assist in daily food preparation, chopping, cooking, and portioning at the Central Kitchen.
Assemble menu items (bowls, wraps, salads, sandwiches, desserts) at the outlets as per SOPs.
Ensure portion control, taste, and presentation are consistent across all outlets.
Support in packing, labeling, and dispatching food from the Central Kitchen.
Receive, check, and store supplies as per standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstation, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards (FSSAI compliance).
Work with the team during rush hours to ensure smooth service.
Report any discrepancies or quality concerns to the Head Chef / Outlet Manager.
1–2 years of experience in kitchen operations (QSR, café, or central kitchen preferred).
Basic knowledge of cooking, food handling & hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle bulk preparation.
Team player, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Willingness to work across outlets and central kitchen as required.
