Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef de Partie (Dessert) to join our culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie in managing the pastry section, with a focus on the preparation, presentation, and execution of high-quality desserts. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, and have a strong foundation in pastry techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and produce high-quality desserts, pastries, cakes, and baked goods according to menu specifications.
Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings.
Ensure proper portion control, consistency, and presentation standards are met.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the pastry section at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients for the dessert section.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
Train and mentor Commis Chefs and junior staff in the pastry section.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Maintain accurate records of production and wastage.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally in a hotel or fine-dining setting.
Formal culinary or pastry education preferred.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and plating.
Passion for desserts and creativity in presentation.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Team player with strong communication skills.
