Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our kitchen team. The CDP is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to deliver excellent food while maintaining hygiene, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section according to the restaurant's standards.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station at all times.
Ensure food preparation is done in a timely and accurate manner.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Monitor stock and place orders as needed for your section.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health standards (HACCP or equivalent).
Collaborate with other sections to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Assist with menu planning, development, and special events as required.
Manage waste and portion control to minimize food costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi Chef ready to step up.
Culinary school diploma or relevant training preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
