Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef with expertise in Bakery, Italian, and Continental cuisine to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be supervising kitchen staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Play a vital role in food preparation, presentation, and innovation, maintaining hygiene standards and consistent quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparation and execution of Indian dishes, including curries, bakery items (breads, pastries, cakes) as well as Italian and Continental dishes.
· Oversee kitchen staff during prep and service, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion control.
· Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to quality standards.
· Maintain inventory, ensure proper stock rotation, and reduce waste.
· Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
· Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
· Contribute to menu development and suggest new recipes or techniques.
· Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
· Minimum 7–10 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 3–4 years in an Indian or Italian/Continental section.
· Strong hands-on experience with North Indian cooking techniques.
· Solid foundation in Italian cuisine (pasta, risotto, sauces, etc.) and Continental dishes (soups, roasts, grills).
· Knowledge of bakery processes and ingredients (artisan breads, laminated doughs, cakes, etc.).
· Good leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with food costing, inventory management, and HACCP standards.
