We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Barista to prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffee and tea drinks. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Prepare and serve beverages such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold brews, teas, and smoothies according to established recipes and standards.
Greet customers warmly and provide personalized service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Take customer orders and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and seating areas.
Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and hygiene (including HACCP or local standards).
Restock inventory and inform management of low stock or equipment issues.
Handle cash, process payments, and issue receipts.
Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests.
Assist in training new staff when required.
Suggest products, upsell items, and answer questions about the menu.
Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing food & beverage role preferred.
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early mornings or late evenings.
High school diploma or equivalent; barista training or certifications are a plus.
Latte art and knowledge of specialty brewing methods (pour-over, siphon, French press, etc.)
Strong sense of cleanliness and food safety awareness.
