Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and customer-friendly Cashier to join our retail supermart team. The ideal candidate will handle all transactions accurately and efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain smooth front-end operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them during billing.

• Scan and process items quickly and accurately through the POS system.

• Handle cash, credit, UPI, and card transactions responsibly.

• Maintain accurate records of daily sales and balance the cash drawer.

• Ensure proper billing of all items, applying discounts/offers correctly.

• Keep the billing counter neat, organized, and presentable.

• Assist with bagging and packaging of customer purchases.

• Report any discrepancies or billing issues to the Store Manager.

• Support other staff during rush hours and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cashier in a retail/supermarket environment.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Basic knowledge of computers and POS billing systems.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Trustworthy, punctual, and detail-oriented.

• Flexible to work weekends and holidays as per store schedule.
