We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented carpenter to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate has experience in various types of carpentry work and follows all safety and building codes.
Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand requirements.
Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed.
Cut, shape, and smooth wood and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements.
Build frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes.
Install windows, doors, drywall, cabinets, and other structures.
Repair or replace damaged framework or structures.
Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
Ensure accuracy and quality of finished projects.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
Collaborate with other construction professionals as needed.
Proven experience as a carpenter or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials and tools.
Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
Proficient in using electrical and manual tools such as saws, squares, levels, chisels, and drills.
Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
Good physical condition and endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
Certification in carpentry or construction.
Experience in both residential and commercial projects.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Job sites may include residential, commercial, or outdoor construction environments.
May require standing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
