Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for electrical, electronic, and mechanical components (battery cells, motors, controllers, wiring harness, semiconductors, etc.).
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms to optimize procurement costs.
Develop long-term vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply.
Material & Inventory Management
Forecast material requirements based on production schedules and R&D projects.
Maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Ensure timely availability of components for manufacturing and testing activities.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure all purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with the design and manufacturing teams to resolve component issues.
Cost Optimization & Reporting
Conduct market research to identify cost-effective suppliers and alternatives.
Monitor price trends for EV-related raw materials and components.
Prepare periodic purchase reports, vendor performance analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
Experience: 2–4 years in procurement, purchase engineering, or supply chain (preferably in EV/automotive/manufacturing domain).
Technical Expertise
Knowledge of EV components (battery packs, BMS, motors, controllers, wiring harness, sensors).
Familiarity with manufacturing consumables, tools, and raw materials.
Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials), technical specifications, and sourcing.
