Sourcing Head shall be responsible for
Developing purchasing strategies
maintaining positive relationships with domestic and international suppliers
Optimize purchasing activities and processes
coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs
Negotiate the best possible deals with suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops a purchasing strategy, reviews and processes purchase orders
coordinating with various internal departments and raises purchase intends
critically, review and evaluate various vendors to compare quality, pricing and services &
select prospective vendors
Managing daily purchasing activities and complete allocated tasks
managing supplier relations and negotiating agreements, contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records as required, and related
documentation
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets
Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfilment of orders
Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs
Training new employees in the purchasing process, when developing a team
Qualifications/Skills:
Any Bachelors’ or Masters Degree, relevance to the Industry
Experience using procurement software and databases
5-6 years’ experience in the purchase department or in a similar position.
Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
Supervisory and management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and negotiation skills
Astute planning and organizational skills
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
