Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our wealth management operations team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial services operations, with a deep understanding of mutual funds, insurance, PMS, and banking products. The candidate will be responsible for managing client-facing processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution of operational activities, and maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership:
Manage and oversee end-to-end operations for wealth management services including account opening, transaction processing, documentation, compliance checks, and service requests.
• Client Onboarding & Servicing:
Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients by coordinating KYC, documentation, and registration processes. Serve as a point of contact for all post-sales operational queries.
• Transaction Management:
Supervise mutual fund transactions, insurance applications, PMS mandates, and related back-office processes. Ensure all transactions are executed accurately and within timelines.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (SEBI, AMFI, IRDAI, etc.) and internal compliance guidelines. Maintain proper records and audit trails of all operational activities.
• MIS & Reporting:
Prepare and analyze operational reports, dashboards, and client summaries using Microsoft Excel and other tools. Track TATs, client SLAs, and error rates.
• Process Improvement:
Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. Drive automation and standardization of routine tasks.
• Coordination & Communication:
Liaise with internal teams including sales, advisory, compliance, and technology for smooth execution of operations. Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as RTAs, custodians, and fund houses.
• Team Management (if applicable):
Lead and mentor a team of operations executives, providing guidance, support, and performance reviews.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field (MBA/PGDM preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services operations, preferably in mutual funds, insurance, PMS, or wealth management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to wealth management.
• High level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and customer-centric approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
• NISM certifications (e.g., NISM-Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors, NISM-Series-X-A: Investment Adviser) will be an added advantage.
• Experience with CRM tools, portfolio tracking platforms, or wealth tech applications.
