Job Description for a Data Entry Operator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Operator to input, update, and maintain accurate data in our systems and databases. The ideal candidate should have excellent typing skills & knowledge of MS Word & MS Excel

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update data into databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems accurately and efficiently

• Review data for errors or inconsistencies and correct any incompatibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Prepare and sort documents for data entry

• Verify data by comparing it to source documents

• Generate reports and retrieve data as requested

• Assist with other administrative tasks if needed

• Knowledge of MS Word & MS Excel is a must

• Any Male/Female candidates can apply

• Salary Range: 12,000/-18,000/-

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus

• Proven experience as a data entry operator or similar role

• Fast typing skills (e.g., 40-60 WPM or higher)

• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (e.g., MS Office Word, Excel)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Preferred:

• Experience with database management systems

• Prior work in [insert specific industry, if applicable, e.g., healthcare, logistics, finance]

• Knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and scanners
