Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled data entry professionals to assist in a French Handwriting Recognition (HWR) project. The role involves reviewing and correcting outputs from automated handwriting recognition systems, ensuring that the transcribed French text is accurate and properly formatted. Familiarity with French cursive writing, old scripts, or historical documents is a significant advantage.

Job Title: French HWR (Handwriting Recognition) Data Annotation & Entry Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate and correct French text transcribed by an HWR engine from handwritten documents.
  
  

• Transcribe manually when the HWR system fails to detect content.
  
  

• Work with project tools (e.g., HWR platforms, annotation interfaces, Google Sheets, etc.).
  
  

• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and formatting according to project guidelines.
  
  

• Meet assigned daily or weekly productivity targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Native or fluent in French, especially in reading handwritten forms (modern and historical).
  
  

• Experience in data entry or transcription, ideally involving OCR/HWR post-processing.
  
  

• Strong attention to detail and high typing accuracy.
  
  

• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and focused work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with French historical documents, manuscripts, or archives.
  
  

• Familiarity with handwriting styles such as cursive, script, or Gothic letters.
  
  

• Experience using annotation tools (e.g., Labelbox, CVAT, VIA, or custom interfaces).
