We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Computer Operator to monitor and control computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and efficient operation of IT systems and respond quickly to any technical issues.
Operate and monitor mainframe and network systems.
Perform regular system checks, backups, and batch processing.
Identify and troubleshoot system errors or malfunctions.
Maintain logs and records of system operations and maintenance.
Coordinate with IT teams to resolve hardware/software issues.
Ensure data security and system integrity.
Manage printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
Prepare reports on system performance and issues.
Follow company procedures and IT policies.
Assist users with basic technical support when required.
High school diploma or equivalent; IT diploma or degree preferred.
Proven experience as a computer operator or similar role.
Familiarity with computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of MS Office, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and backup procedures.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.
Office or data center environment.
May require shift work or extended hours during maintenance windows or outages.
Experience with ERP systems or database management.
Knowledge of scripting or automation tools.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.
