Banking Operation Executive

The Bank Operations Executive is responsible for managing and executing day-to-day banking operations, ensuring efficient processing of financial transactions, adherence to internal policies, and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role also involves cashier duties such as cash handling, deposits, withdrawals, and account servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cashier Operations:

• Handle cash transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.

• Ensure accurate counting, sorting, and safekeeping of cash.

• Reconcile cash balances at the end of the day and report discrepancies.

• Manage cash drawers and maintain limits as per bank policy.

• Process cheques, demand drafts, and payment instruments.

• Issue receipts and update passbooks.

2. Customer Service & Transaction Processing:

• Assist customers with account-related queries and routine banking needs.

• Open and close customer accounts as per KYC guidelines.

• Process fund transfers, NEFT/RTGS transactions, and cheque clearances.

• Handle inward and outward remittances and standing instructions.

• Manage locker operations as required.

3. Back-Office & Compliance Support:

• Maintain accurate records of all branch transactions and customer interactions.

• Support documentation and verification activities.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements including AML and KYC.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

• Follow internal banking protocols and risk controls.

4. Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with other departments like credit, IT, and audit teams.

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on branch operations and cash movement.

• Escalate operational issues or irregularities to higher management promptly.
