The Interior Designer with Sales responsibilities will be responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing interior designs while actively engaging with clients to drive sales and close business deals. The role combines creative design expertise with strong communication, presentation, and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities
Interior Design
Meet with clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle needs, and design preferences. Develop concept boards, mood boards, space planning layouts, and 3D visualizations. Select materials, finishes, colors, furniture, lighting, and décor elements. Prepare detailed drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for project execution. Ensure design quality, accuracy, and alignment with client expectations. Oversee site visits, measurements, and supervision during project stages.
Sales & Client Engagement:
Conduct client consultations and design presentations to showcase concepts. Explain design proposals, pricing, and project timelines clearly and convincingly. Follow up with potential clients to convert leads into confirmed projects. Upsell additional products/services such as furniture, décor items, or turnkey solutions. Negotiate pricing and close sales while maintaining profitability. Maintain CRM records of leads, follow-ups, and sales activities.
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and refine client requirements. Coordinate with procurement and project management teams for smooth execution. Maintain relationships with existing clients for referrals and repeat business. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and design innovations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field.1–5 years of experience in interior design (depending on role level).Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar).Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills. Strong sales skills with the ability to negotiate and close deals. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Knowledge of materials, furniture, and interior design trends.
