Job Summary:

We are seeking a Draftsman with experience in preparing detailed technical drawings for wiring harness assemblies based on BOM and engineering inputs. The candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD/CATIA and a solid understanding of electronics, as the role is focused on electrical and wiring harness design.

Educational Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering

• Certification in CAD software (CATIA / AutoCAD) preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or design environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings accurately

• Prepare wiring harness and electrical layout drawings based on BOM and design instructions

• Ensure correct representation of connectors, wires, terminals, and routing

• Maintain accurate documentation and drawing version control

• Revise drawings as per engineering or production feedback

• Coordinate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure technical compliance

• Maintain adherence to company standards and customer specifications

• Assist in prototype development if required

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in CATIA and/or AutoCAD

• Good understanding of electronics and wiring harness components (connectors, cables, terminals, etc.)

• Strong drawing interpretation and drafting skills

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for cable harnesses

• Detail-oriented with good documentation and communication skills
