We are seeking a creative and experienced Design Manager to lead the design and execution of our retail stores and furniture product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, space planning, furniture aesthetics, and brand-oriented retail experience. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end design process, managing a team of designers, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver cohesive and impactful store environments and product collections.
Lead the concept design, layout planning, and execution of new retail store openings, refurbishments, and VM installations.
Develop store design guidelines ensuring brand consistency across locations.
Coordinate with architects, vendors, contractors, and project managers to deliver timely and cost-effective store buildouts.
Innovate with in-store experiences, window displays, lighting, signage, and customer flow.
Lead the ideation and development of new furniture collections aligned with brand aesthetics and market trends.
Oversee 3D modeling, material selection, prototyping, and product detailing.
Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure feasibility, cost-efficiency, and quality.
Track and research global design trends, materials, and technologies.
Manage and mentor a team of interior designers, furniture designers, and visual merchandisers.
Provide creative direction, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Allocate design resources across projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Work closely with marketing, merchandising, retail ops, and leadership to ensure design alignment with business goals.
Present design concepts and progress to key stakeholders for approval.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Furniture Design, or related field.
7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong portfolio demonstrating work in retail design and furniture collections.
Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Knowledge of production techniques, materials, and retail construction.
Excellent project management, budgeting, and vendor coordination skills.
Strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
