Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Operator to digitize and convert scanned hand-drawn or paper soft toy patterns into accurate digital CAD files. The ideal candidate will have experience in 2D drafting, understand textile product design, and work closely with pattern makers and designers to ensure precision and production-readiness of the final output.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and digitize scanned soft toy patterns into accurate 2D CAD drawings.
Clean, scale, and trace pattern outlines using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software.
Ensure all pattern pieces are correctly labeled, notched, and prepared for nesting or cutting.
Collaborate with designers, sample makers, and technical teams to confirm dimensions and pattern integrity.
Apply appropriate seam allowances, grain lines, and material indications.
Organize and maintain digital pattern files and documentation.
Modify existing patterns based on feedback and design updates.
Assist with layout optimization for fabric cutting (optional based on skills).
Ensure compliance with company standards for file formats and CAD layer structures.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential).
Previous experience with textile or soft toy pattern digitization preferred.
Understanding of basic pattern-making and garment construction is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret hand-drawn patterns and sketches.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of CAD pattern software (e.g., Gerber, Optitex, or Lectra) is a bonus.
Preferred Experience:
1–3 years of CAD experience, preferably in textiles, apparel, or soft toy industry.
Experience in manufacturing or production environments is an advantage.
