We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Designer with experience in electrical infrastructure design to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and reviewing technical drawings and layouts for electrical systems used in infrastructure projects such as Lightning Protection System, Surge Protection device, Fire Suppression System, power distribution networks, substations, utility coordination, and more.
Develop and prepare electrical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD (2D/3D), based on engineering specifications and design standards.
Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for low and medium voltage systems, including cable routing, grounding, and lighting.
Coordinate with electrical engineers to ensure designs meet technical requirements and compliance standards.
Revise existing drawings as required and maintain drawing/documentation control systems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, and utility coordination teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
Ensure that all designs adhere to local codes, national electrical standards, and project-specific requirements.
Participate in project meetings and site visits as required to support design development and as-built documentation.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer in electrical infrastructure or similar domain.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles in infrastructure projects (e.g., power distribution, lighting, grounding).
Familiarity with IEC, NEC, IEEE standards or local electrical codes.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and civil engineering drawings.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in using Revit MEP, MicroStation, or other BIM/CAD tools.
Exposure to utility-scale projects (e.g., substations, underground cable networks, street lighting).
Knowledge of GIS or SCADA integration in electrical infrastructure designs.
Prior experience in working with consultants, utilities, or EPC companies.
