Job Title: Store Keeper cum Accountant

Department: Operations – Gopalan Cinemas
Location: Baiyappanahalli

Role Overview:

The Store Keeper cum Accountant will handle both inventory management (F&B, consumables, uniforms, housekeeping items) and basic accounting functions at the cinema. The role is crucial in ensuring stock availability, cost control, and proper financial documentation to support smooth cinema operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Storekeeping Duties

• Receive, verify, and record incoming stock (F&B, consumables, packaging materials, etc.).

• Issue stock to counters, housekeeping, and other departments as per requisition.

• Maintain accurate stock records and follow FIFO for perishable items.

• Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation with system records.

• Ensure proper storage, cleanliness, and safety of inventory areas.

Accounting Duties

• Maintain daily expense records and petty cash handling.

• Verify and process vendor invoices related to cinema operations.

• Prepare daily stock consumption and usage reports.

• Enter sales and stock movement data into accounting systems (Tally/ERP/Excel).

• Assist in monthly closing, audits, and reporting to management.

• Support the cinema manager in cost monitoring and minimizing wastage.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce / Accounting or Diploma in Inventory Management.

• 2–4 years’ experience in storekeeping with accounting exposure (cinema, retail, hospitality preferred).

• Knowledge of MS Excel, Tally, or ERP software.

• Strong organizational and numerical skills.

• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per cinema schedules.
