Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Ganeshpeth, Nagpur

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of accounting records, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and helps maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing process

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and other regulatory requirements

• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner

• Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies

• Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

• Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes

• Supervise or mentor junior accountants or accounting staff

• Assist with tax compliance and filings

• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements

• Liaise with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Excel

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with audit support and financial analysis is a plus

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in [Tally, GST, Bank Reconciliation, TDS, Audit, Balance Sheet, Taxation]

• Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools
