We are looking for an Senior Accountant to join our team at at Mahavir Motors. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹30000 - ₹40000 and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for the dealership.
Post journal entries, maintain ledgers, and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, and petty cash.
Handle depreciation, accruals, and other adjustments.
Record and reconcile car sales, accessories, and service revenues.
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
Ensure proper documentation of vehicle invoicing and delivery notes.
Reconcile showroom sales reports with financial records.
Process supplier invoices for spare parts, vehicle purchases, and other showroom expenses.
Verify supplier statements and ensure timely payments.
Maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile balances.
Monitor vehicle and spare parts inventory valuations.
Coordinate with the parts and service departments to track stock movements.
Assist in physical stock verification and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and dealership policies.
Prepare VAT/GST returns and assist with other tax filings.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Job Requirements:
A perfect candidate for this role should have a keen eye for numerical accuracy. The minimum qualification for this role is Graduate and 4 - 6+ years of experience. Applicants must have Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in an automobile dealership or retail trading environment.
