The Junior Accounts Officer will support the finance department by performing various accounting and financial tasks. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, and be eager to learn and grow within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Accurately record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or other relevant software).
Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic financial records and documentation.
Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices and expense reports.
Account Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in the reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts as required.
Financial Reporting Assistance:
Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) under the guidance of senior staff.
Prepare and submit weekly or monthly reports as required.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Follow up on outstanding invoices and assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
Maintain accurate records of payables and receivables.
Compliance and Regulatory Support:
Assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
Support the preparation of tax filings and returns.
Adhere to company financial policies and procedures.
Audit Assistance:
Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations.
General Accounting Support:
Assist senior accountants with various accounting tasks and projects as needed.
Participate in reviewing financial data for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate with internal departments and external parties to obtain necessary financial information.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized university.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel or Advance Excel(including data entry, formulas, and basic analysis).
Familiarity with accounting software Tally is Must.
