Job Title: Costing Executive

Department: Finance / Accounts / Costing

Reports To: Costing Manager / Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Costing Executive to manage product costing, variance analysis, and cost control activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost computation and contribute to cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Costing

• Prepare and analyze standard product costing, including raw material, labor, and overheads.

• Update bill of materials (BOM) and ensure alignment with actual production processes.

2. Cost Analysis

• Conduct cost variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and provide explanations for deviations.

• Analyze manufacturing overheads and propose cost-saving opportunities.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in preparing budgets related to cost centers and production.

• Support in forecasting raw material and production costs based on trends and inputs.

4. Inventory and Valuation

• Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate valuation.

• Coordinate with the stores and production team for physical inventory checks and reconciliation.

5. Reporting and Compliance

• Generate regular cost reports and dashboards for management review.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or costing roles.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Busy etc.).

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
