Job Overview: We are looking for a Senior Accounts Manager with extensive experience in the Interiors, Infrastructure & Construction sector to oversee and manage the financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis, with a specific focus on project-based accounting and contract management. This role requires someone who understands the unique financial dynamics of the construction industry, including cost budgeting, subcontractor management, and progress billing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Essential Responsibilities: All GST, Income Tax, All Departmental Experience is mandatory. Should have thorough experience in handling all commercial and personal loans.

• Project Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of construction, interiors and infrastructure projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor costs and revenue recognition throughout the project lifecycle.

• Cost Control & Monitoring: Ensure that all project costs, including labour, materials, and subcontractors, are accurately tracked, monitored, and reported. Implement cost-control measures to ensure projects stay within budget.

• Progress Billing & Invoicing: Manage the preparation and submission of progress invoices to clients, ensuring they align with contract terms and project milestones. Ensure timely collections and track the payment status of accounts.

• Contract Management: Review and analyse contracts for compliance, ensuring that all financial obligations and terms are met. Work closely with the project management team to manage contract changes, variations, and claims.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for construction projects, including profit and loss, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet reports. Present financial data and insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

• Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Oversee the financial aspects of subcontractor and vendor agreements, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Manage relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with relevant construction industry financial regulations, including tax filings, GST, and other statutory requirements. Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow on a project level and at the company level, ensuring there are sufficient funds available for operations and project execution.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality accounting practices and efficient processes.

• Risk Management: Identify financial risks associated with projects or contracts and propose mitigation strategies. Monitor insurance and bonding requirements related to construction projects.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to ensure seamless communication between the finance and construction teams. Provide financial insights to support project planning and decision-making.

• Others: a) Preparation of Balance Sheets, Trial Balances etc. b) Pre-Auditing Helping Auditors and final verifications c) Pre-Turnover Planning, d) Bank Reconciliations in Handling of Direct & Indirect Taxes (TDS, GST), e) Filing of Returns like TDS, Quarterly Returns, STR-1, GSTR 3B 1R, GSTR 9 & 9C, ROC Compliances, f) Solving all bank issues on loans, documents, mails and others. g) Strong knowledge of accounting software Tally Prime and advanced Excel skills.

• ROC Filing:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5-7 years in a senior role within the Interiors, Infrastructure & Construction Sector.

• Strong understanding of Interiors, Infrastructure & Construction Sector accounting, including project-based accounting, job costing, and progress billing.

• Proficient in advanced MS Excel skills.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting, with experience in managing complex contracts and large-scale projects.

• Knowledge of construction-specific regulations, including tax laws, insurance, bonding, and lien laws.

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and performance.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in the construction team.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during project milestones.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with risk management and insurance in Interiors, Infrastructure & Construction Sector.

• Familiarity with bid pricing and financial forecasting for construction projects.

• Familiarity with Tally ERP systems tailored to the construction industry.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Planning and organizing.

• Strong communication skills
