Tax Compliance & Filing:
Prepare and file accurate and timely VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) returns in compliance with all FTA regulations.
Ensure all tax payments are made by the specified deadlines to avoid penalties.
Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors as needed.
Accounting & Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation related to all VAT and CT transactions (e.g., tax invoices, credit/debit notes, supporting schedules).
Review and reconcile tax accounts to the general ledger, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
Ensure proper VAT treatment on all sales, purchases, imports, and exports.
Advisory & Strategy:
Stay updated on changes in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax legislation and advise the finance team and other internal departments on their implications for business operations.
Analyze financial transactions to identify potential tax risks and opportunities for tax optimization/savings while maintaining compliance.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal tax policies and compliance procedures.
Audit & Liaison:
Assist with tax audits and inspections by the FTA, providing all necessary documentation and explanations.
Respond promptly to inquiries from tax authorities or internal stakeholders.
Provide internal training sessions to staff on VAT and CT best practices and compliance awareness.
