The Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial planning and decision-making. This role involves maintaining ledgers, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and assisting with audits and tax filings.
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
Produce timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Perform variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted expectations.
Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies.
Prepare documentation for external and internal audits.
Support tax preparation activities and ensure regulatory filings are submitted on time.
Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements.
Implement and maintain accounting systems and software tools.
Work closely with other departments to verify and validate financial information.
Provide financial guidance and respond to inquiries from management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or ACCA certification (preferred but not required).
2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Office or hybrid work environment.
May require occasional extended hours during reporting periods or audits.
