Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
Record and categorize financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, etc.)
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Process client payroll using platforms like ADP, Gusto, or Wagepoint
Assist in payroll tax filing and reporting (US/Canada)
Handle sales tax/GST/HST filing as per respective state/province regulations
Support monthly and year-end closing procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Communicate with team leaders and respond to client queries professionally
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1–2 years of hands-on experience in US/Canadian bookkeeping
Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is required
Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax filings (USA/Canada)
Familiarity with sales tax filing in various US states and Canadian provinces
Strong understanding of basic accounting and reconciliation processes
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work in evening/night shifts aligned with North American clients
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable
