Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and guest billing. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
· To prepare monthly schedule of sundry debts and tally with controls
· To prepare and submit monthly bills on time
· To reconcile inter-company accounts
· To maintain travel agents deposits and commission accounts
· To follow-up on outstanding collections
· To ensure up-to-date maintenance of credit card system
· To scrutinize all invoices and verify their accuracy
· To double check invoices with purchase orders and receiving receipts
· To maintain records of all disbursements as required for company controls
· In case of payments of large amounts, to enter the amounts in cheque registers and prepare cheques for final signature and disbursement
· To maintain all records as required by the Hotel
· To prepare accounts of sundry creditors and advance schedules and tally the same with the control ledger
· To post daily charges to city ledgers and guest folios
Cash Management: Manage cash flow by monitoring daily cash balances, reconciling bank accounts, and initiating fund transfers as needed.
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including sales tax, occupancy tax, and other local tax filings.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits of hotel financial records. Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial performance.
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards. Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and sales, to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
