Key Responsibilities
GST & TDS Compliance:
Calculate, deduct, and deposit Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).
Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.
Verify invoices for correct GST information and compliance.
Reconcile GST and TDS accounts and ensure timely payments.
Bookkeeping & Record Maintenance:
Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and payments.
Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and financial records.
Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
Support in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Track costs and contribute to profit and loss (P&L) analysis.
Regulatory Compliance & Audits:
Ensure adherence to tax laws and financial regulations.
Assist in financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and their impact on accounting processes.
Retail-Specific Tasks:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process sales, purchases, and other daily transactions relevant to a retail business.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
