About The Client
Our Client is a leading business consulting and HR advisory firm, delivering strategic solutions across HR transformation, talent management, business restructuring, and organizational development. We are expanding our Finance & Accounts team in Kolkata and looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Specialist.
Position Overview
The Accounts Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience working in an Audit Firm, Law Firm, or Manufacturing Company.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Manage daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, and ledger entries.
Prepare and maintain financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Ensure timely posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closures.
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor management.
Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other statutory requirements.
Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and tax-related documentation.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Financial Control & MIS
Prepare accurate MIS reports for management review.
Monitor expenses, variances, and budgeting requirements.
Review and reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts.
Coordination & Documentation
Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders.
Maintain proper documentation for all financial and statutory activities.
Support implementation and improvement of accounting processes and systems.
Candidate Requirements
Educational Qualification:
M.Com is mandatory.
Class 10 & 12 grades must be 80% and above.
Experience:
3–5 years of continuous experience in ONE company (non-negotiable).
Must have experience in Audit Firm, Law Firm, or Manufacturing Industry.
Strong understanding of accounting standards and taxation.
Skills:
Proficiency in Tally/ERP software and MS Excel.
Strong analytical ability and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
