Job Description: Accounts Assistant (1 Year Female Experience)

Location: Chennai, Vadapalani

Salary: ₹15,000 - ₹17,000 per month

Experience: 1 year in a similar role

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Data Entry:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Tally software.

• Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.

• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Assist in the calculation and filing of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.

• Help with the preparation of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) statements and filings.

Payment Collection:

• Follow up with clients for timely payment collection.

• Prepare and send invoices and payment reminders.

• Maintain a record of outstanding payments and follow up as necessary.

Financial Reporting and Support:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as required by management.

• Support the senior accounts team with various accounting tasks.

• Handle general administrative and clerical duties related to the finance department.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar accounting role.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Tally software is mandatory.

• Working knowledge of TDS and GST regulations.

• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proactive and willing to learn.

Availability:

Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
