Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves coordination with auditors, handling financial transactions, and providing insights to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MIS Reporting:

o Develop, prepare, and deliver Management Information System (MIS) reports as required by management and departments.

o Ensure that MIS reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational goals.

o Analyze MIS data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business improvement.

2. Bank Reconciliation:

o Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure that bank statements and accounting records are accurate and in sync.

3. Audit Coordination:

o Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for the finalization of accounts for the company and its group of companies.

o Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.

4. Financial Entries:

o Record and maintain sales and purchase entries, general ledger entries, and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) booking entries.

o Ensure accuracy in all financial entries and transactions.

5. Credit and Debit Notes:

o Prepare and process credit notes and debit notes as required.

6. GST Compliance:

o Prepare Input Tax Credit (ITC) data and reconcile it with GST returns (GST-R).

7. Ledger Reconciliation:

o Reconcile debtors and creditors ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

8. Tax Payments and Returns:

o Manage monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly TDS payments and returns.

9. Payment Follow-Up:

o Follow up with banks and vendors for timely payments and resolve any issues related to payments.

10. Online Banking Transactions:

o Handle online banking transactions and ensure that they are recorded accurately in the accounting system.

Qualifications:

· Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

o CPA or CMA certification preferred.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

o Experience with MIS reporting, bank reconciliations, and GST compliance.

· Skills:

o Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

o Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

o Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

o Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
