Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive with strong cash handling and cashier experience to join our finance team in the education sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and handling cash transactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily accounting records including vouchers, invoices, and receipts

• Handle all cash-related transactions, manage petty cash, and prepare cash reports

• Collect fees and issue receipts to students/parents, ensuring proper documentation

• Reconcile daily collections with system records and bank deposits

• Prepare reports related to collections, dues, and outstanding payments

• Coordinate with the admin and academic teams for fee defaulters and reminders

• Support monthly and annual closing processes

• Assist in preparing financial reports for internal and external audits

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and statutory requirements

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting; prior experience in the education sector preferred

• Proven experience in cashiering or fee collection

• Proficient in Tally ERP / MS Excel / accounting software

• Good understanding of accounting principles and taxation (GST, TDS etc.)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
