🔎 Job Overview:

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Accountant to manage the financial records, donations, grants, and statutory compliance of our NGO. The candidate will ensure transparent, accurate, and timely reporting of all financial matters in alignment with government norms and donor requirements.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records including donations, grants, and project expenditures

• Manage bookkeeping using Tally or similar accounting software

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Maintain donor fund utilization reports and ensure compliance with FCRA norms (if applicable)

• Handle bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and petty cash

• File GST, TDS, and income tax returns timely

• Coordinate with auditors and assist during internal and external audits

• Ensure accurate record-keeping of vouchers, receipts, and documentation for all projects

• Assist with budget planning and grant financial reporting

📚 Required Skills:

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and NGO financial regulations

• Familiarity with FCRA, Income Tax for NGOs, and donor fund reporting

• Proficiency in Tally ERP / MS Excel / MS Office

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

✅ Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior work experience in an NGO

• Understanding of social sector compliance norms

• Working knowledge of project-based accounting and grant tracking
