Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts, ensure compliance, and support financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, ledgers, and accounts.

• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.

• Manage accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP, IFRS), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.

• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment of obligations.

• Coordinate audit processes and support internal/external audits.

• Support junior accounting staff and provide training as needed.

• Contribute to process improvements and system automation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA preferred).

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP).

• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in financial reporting and audit processes.

• Familiarity with tax laws and regulatory requirements.

• Industry experience in [insert industry: e.g., manufacturing, services, etc.].
