Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in core accounting functions and export back-office operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, documentation, export invoicing, reconciliation, and compliance support related to international trade transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties:
Manage daily accounting operations, including entries in Tally/ERP system.
Bank reconciliation and vendor/customer ledger reconciliation.
Preparation of vouchers, journal entries, and maintenance of books of accounts.
GST computation and return working (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2A reconciliation).
Support in monthly/quarterly closing and audit preparation.
Export Back Office Duties:
Preparation of export invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
Coordination with CHA/logistics partners for export documentation.
Filing and maintaining records related to shipping bills, BRCs, and export incentives (MEIS/RODTEP/DBK).
Liaison with bank for remittance tracking, BRC generation, and forex inward confirmation.
Supporting in drafting and submission of export-related returns and declarations.
Compliance & Coordination:
Coordination with internal teams for document flow and timely compliance.
Assist in preparation of data for GST, income tax, TDS, and DGFT-related matters.
Support the finance team in maintaining documentation for internal/external audits.
Key Skills Required:
Proficient in Tally ERP / Accounting Software.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic income tax compliance.
Familiarity with export documentation, shipping bills, and BRC processes.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and documentation practices.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in documentation.
Qualifications:
B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and export back office.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working in an export-oriented unit (EOU) or company involved in international trade.
Basic understanding of DGFT procedures and foreign exchange regulations.
Exposure to banking and letter of credit (LC) documentation will be an added advantage.
