Job Description for Accountant
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial statements and handle day-to-day accounting entries, reconciliations, and MIS reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer billing and Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, etc.).
• Prepare and verify import/export invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Customs regulations, including Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, HS Codes, and Duty calculations.
• Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agents) for clearance documentation and Maintain records of BIS, Azo, LMPC, and other certifications required for imports.
• Support in handling Foreign Remittance, Bank AD Code compliance, RBI documentation and maintain accounting records of transportation vendors, logistics providers, and courier partners.
• Process freight bills, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Negotiate and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) with transport vendors.
• Manage accounting of company-owned/leased vehicles, including depreciation and insurance.
• Track expenses such as fuel, tolls, maintenance, and repairs and Maintain logbooks and reconcile
fleet usage with expense claims.
• Ensure RTO compliance, insurance renewals, permits, and pollution certificates.
• Coordinate with HR/Admin for assigning vehicles to employees/operations

• Strong knowledge of Tally / SAP / ERP systems.
• Familiar with import-export compliance, documentation, and logistics accounting.
• Good understanding of vendor management and contract compliance.
• Analytical skills for cost monitoring and financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with customs agents, vendors, and management.
