Position: Accountant

Role Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting standards. This role offers professional growth within a fast-growing catering business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations (payments, deposits, petty cash, vendor payments, staff advances).

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, profit & loss accounts, and budget forecasts.

• Balance and reconcile bank statements.

• Ensure timely GST, TDS, PF, and ESI filings.

• Audit and verify financial records for compliance with company policies.

• Track receivables, payables, and coordinate with vendors/clients on payments.

• Provide financial insights to support management decisions on costs, liquidity, and profitability.

• Maintain records for monthly salary disbursements and staff incentives.

Job Requirements

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.

• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.

  • Understanding of GAAP, GST, and other tax regulations.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

  • Good communication & problem-solving skills.

• Bonus: Additional certifications (e.g., GST Practitioner, Tally Certification) are a plus.
