The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making. This role involves preparing financial statements, handling taxation, reconciling accounts, and monitoring cash flow to maintain the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Record Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts regularly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Manage client billing, track receivables, and follow up on overdue accounts.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
5. Payroll Processing
Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate salary disbursements.
Handle statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS) and submit returns on time.
6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Identify areas for cost reduction and process efficiency.
