Responsibilities
Manage and process all financial transactions, from accounts payable and receivable to bank deposits and expense tracking.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
Prepare budget forecasts and assist management in financial planning and decision-making.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external auditors and assist with year-end close activities.
Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and ensure data security.
Requirements and skills
Education and certification: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often required. Additional certifications like a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) may be preferred.
Technical expertise:
Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
