The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire loan recovery process across all assigned portfolios. This role involves driving collection strategies, supervising field teams, acquiring new portfolios, and ensuring efficient end-to-end operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and a proven track record in collections or loan recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
Manage and oversee all existing loan portfolios to ensure timely and effective recovery.
Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective strategies when needed.
Identify high-risk accounts and take proactive measures to minimize losses.
Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports with management.
Analyze collection data to track performance, trends, and key metrics.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis for improvement.
Identify, source, and acquire new loan portfolios for the company.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, lenders, and agencies.
Evaluate the quality and performance potential of incoming portfolios.
Oversee the entire loan recovery lifecycle—from initial communication to final closure.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies throughout the process.
Develop and implement efficient collection strategies and workflows.
Lead and manage the field collection team, ensuring productivity and adherence to SOPs.
Assign targets, provide guidance, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Support and motivate team members to achieve individual and departmental goals.
Conduct field visits when necessary to resolve critical cases.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Collections Manager, Recovery Manager,
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and collections/reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Maintain strict discipline in daily operations and team management.
Ensure punctuality—timely reporting, timely field visits, and adherence to work schedules.
Ensure all team members maintain decorum while interacting with customers and partners.
Address misconduct or non-compliance immediately and professionally.
