The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items with speed, accuracy, and consistency. This role ensures food quality, hygiene, and portion standards are followed as per brand recipes and SOPs.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, and components as per pre-set prep sheets.
Cook and assemble menu items such as burgers, wraps, fried chicken, sides, and beverages following brand standards.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Manage a specific kitchen station such as grill, fry, pantry, or assembly.
Ensure all station supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly.
Report any shortages or equipment issues immediately.
Follow all FSSAI and internal hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations during and after operations.
Ensure proper storage of raw materials and maintain FIFO.
Deliver orders within the defined service time (ticket time).
Work efficiently during rush hours without compromising quality.
Coordinate closely with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth order flow.
Support fellow cooks during peak times.
Follow all brand-specific recipes, cooking methods, and prep guidelines.
Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and kitchen policies.
1–3 years of experience in a QSR or casual dining kitchen.
Knowledge of grilling, frying, and assembly preferred.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Freshers with strong interest in kitchen operations may also be considered (brand can train).
Fast-paced cooking skills.
Attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination.
Ability to handle pressure during rush hours.
Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment.
Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
