Responsibilities
Project leadership: Guide projects from initial concept and design through to completion, managing all phases of the architectural process.
Client relations: Meet with clients to understand their needs and vision, present proposals, and communicate project status.
Team and stakeholder coordination: Lead and mentor junior staff and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Design and technical oversight: Oversee the production of technical documents, blueprints, and models, ensuring they align with client requirements, budget, and regulatory standards.
Quality and compliance: Ensure all designs and projects comply with building codes, safety, sustainability, and zoning regulations.
Project management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality control.
Qualifications and skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
Experience: Several years of professional experience, with a portion in a leadership role.
Licensure: A professional license to practice architecture.
Technical proficiency: Proficiency in design and modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Industry knowledge: Expertise in building codes, construction methods, and documentation.
Soft skills: Strong leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable: Experience with sustainable design practices (like LEED) and an understanding of environmental impacts are highly desirable
