Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain financial transactions related to freight forwarding, customs, and logistics operations.

• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, journal entries, and credit/debit notes in a timely manner.

• Reconcile customer, vendor, and agent accounts, ensuring accuracy of freight charges and related expenses.

• Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to verify shipment costs, billing, and supporting documentation.

• Prepare monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, cost analysis, and variance reports.

• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.

• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the freight division.

• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance workflow.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and cost allocation methods in logistics operations.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
