Key Responsibilities
1. General Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain day-to-day financial records using Tally (ERP / Prime / Classic).
Handle journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers accurately.
Reconcile bank statements, vendor, and customer accounts.
Ensure accurate sub-ledgers (payables, receivables), and manage intercompany/unit reconciliations.
2. GST & Indirect Tax Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 – monthly/quarterly/annual).
Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GSTR-2A/2B and books.
Ensure correct classification using HSN/SAC codes and appropriate GST rates.
Respond to GST notices and handle related correspondence.
3. Income Tax, ITR, TDS & Direct Tax Compliance
Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (for company, firm, and individuals if needed).
Calculate and ensure proper deduction/remittance of TDS/TCS.
Manage compliance related to Form 26AS, tax refunds, and notices.
4. Audit Support & Statutory Compliance
Assist in statutory, tax, and internal audits: prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting
documentation.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register and depreciation schedules.
Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act, accounting standards, and other statutory requirements.
5. Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
Provide MIS reports, perform variance analysis, and track budget vs actuals.
Support forecasting, budgeting, and cost control initiatives.
Educational Qualification
B. Com / M. Com or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, or audit in India.
(Candidates with slightly less or more experience may also be considered based on suitability.)
Technical Skills
Proficient in Tally (ERP/Prime/Classic).
Strong knowledge of GST compliance and return filing.
Experience with ITR filing, TDS/TCS deductions.
Exposure to statutory or tax audits.
